Palin & the Librarian
I just heard on ABC News that the Librarian of the Wasilla Library was interviewed briefly. She basically said that Sarah Palin asked her if she’d be willing to remove certain books from the Library. As the President of the National Library Association, she said all the books were bought according to standards and guidelines, so No. She would not support banning any books.
A few weeks later she was fired.
The community uproared. (I heard they almost recalled her as Mayor, but I don’t know if that’s true.)
Sarah Palin was forced to reinstate the Librarian. But she quit 2 years later anyway, because she said Sarah Palin made it so hard for her.
She said Sarah Palin’s treatment of her was very rough, and it’s a time in her life she doesn’t care to revisit.
Says a lot about Sarah Palin. And probably, TrooperGate. I predict a lot more is going to come out about these types of stories. And it should. We need to know the truth about what kind of woman this really is. And what kind of leader she would potentially be (hope not).

God, why are you such a hater?
It’s not true, look it up, most of the books were not published until after she left the mayors office.
Geez, lighten up a little, you’re starting to sound obsessed
.

Dinkerwald, what books are you talking about? Sarah Palin asked the Librarian of Wasilla if she’d be willing to remove some books. She didn’t name any specific ones. This is from the librarian’s statement. Sarah Palin’s spokesperson admitted to it.
Once again you are sadly misinformed. Yes, I am a hater. Of hostile ignorance like yours. So maybe you should stop spreading it around.

Hey Dinkerwalk,
Your comments are always so out of it…If you don’t want to read about Palin - here’s an idea - don’t visit this blog. I for one, like it. And I believe we all have a right to our opinions, and a responsibility to be informed. Not to mention that little thing called the right to free speech (I know you are out of it, but you should google “the United States Constitution”.)

Totally! It’s a fact that Palin wanted to ban books - it’s not even a question. And I agree, this is stuff we need to know about someone who could potentially be “1 heartbeat away from the Presidency” as they say. I say right on Anna, keep the info coming. I prefer to read it on a blog than watch them over-dissect it on the news.
Oh, and Dinkerwald…get a clue.

Glad this is coming out now, maybe it’ll open peoples’ eyes about Troopergate. There is a definite running theme here. Misuse of power, anyone?

Well, she’s apparantly back in Alaska now and the GOP held a welcome rally for her. I hope there were not technical glitches, or they may all be fired there too.
I wonder what else she fires people for?
Any ideas?
